Writing & Publishing

I have dedicated myself to crafting content that resonates and informs. This includes developing courses, scripts, and authoring and publishing books. My writing is not just a form of expression but a tool for education and enlightenment.

Writing & Developing Courses

Through my work with Fulphil, I have various created state-standards-aligned curricula across the country specialized in teaching youth topics related to social impact (social entrepreneurship, sustainability, DEI, mental wellness, etc). This has taught me to be highly objective- and value-oriented when creating any type of material.

I have created coursework of various mediums to promote access to curate to different learning styles; this includes developing and executing online courses, classroom materials, workbooks, engaging videos, podcasts/audiobooks, social media/blogging, and books.

Writing & Publishing Books

I am an author and publisher of best-selling books focused on social entrepreneurial education, which have been widely distributed to various schools, organizations, prison systems, and major retailers. This includes Build With Impact: The Cheat Code to Social Entrepreneurship and Speak Money: The Cheat Code to Financial Literacy, and more. These books are now available at major retailers including Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart, and have also been translated into Spanish and Mandarin.

Public Speaking

My speaking engagements on platforms like TEDx and also TEDEd have allowed me to reach a broader audience. I view these as opportunities to share insights, inspire others, and provoke thoughtful discussions on crucial social impact topics.

Additionally, in embracing the digital age, I have ventured into podcasting. This medium has enabled me to dive deeper into topics, engage with listeners interactively, and explore diverse perspectives on social impact.

Blogging in academic research in layperson terms

To democratize knowledge, I enjoy blending the art of accessible writing with the depth of academic research. Through my Substack blog, "Cultured Layperson," I tackle complex subjects such as venture capital, entrepreneurship, impact, and other topics of personal interest through a sociological lens, distilling them into layperson's terms.

This approach not only makes these often-intimidating topics approachable but also invites a broader audience to engage in these crucial conversations. At the same time, my deep engagement with academic research enriches this endeavor.

By frequently referencing and drawing from academic papers, I ensure that the insights I share carry the weight of scholarly rigor and depth. This fusion of accessible writing and academically informed content strikes a balance between making knowledge approachable and maintaining its credibility and substance. This synergy is at the heart of my efforts to create a more informed, inclusive, and engaged public discourse.

Supporting Other Creators

Beyond my own creations, I am currently assisting various authors and creatives in producing and publishing their content. Committed to supporting a wide range of knowledge-sharing endeavors, this work spans multiple genres, including small business, health and wellness, and children's fiction.

What I’ve LEARNED

Through these experiences, I've gleaned significant insights:

  • Accessibility of Knowledge: I've learned that while knowledge is abundant, access to it is not uniform. Recognizing this, I strive to make my work outputs as accessible as possible, reaching people where they are and in a form that resonates with them.

  • Diverse Learning Preferences: Research may debunk the myth of learning styles, but it acknowledges the diversity in how individuals prefer to engage with content. With this understanding, I endeavor to tailor my work to suit various preferences, ensuring that my message is not just heard but also absorbed and appreciated.

Ultimately, my journey is characterized by an unyielding commitment to learning and sharing knowledge in diverse, accessible, and inclusive ways. This approach not only enhances my understanding of social impact but also allows me to contribute meaningfully to the broader discourse on opportunity and value creation in society.
